We rented a recently renovated 2 bdrm 2 ba apartment after receiving assurances there was a laundry dryer, firm mattresses and a fully equipped kitchen at the Hacienda Los Nagueles building (Golden Mile) thru this rental company for a 6 week winter stay Feb - Mar. 2019 also listed with Airbnb.

On arrival, it was clean and recently updated as advertised but it was not a well equipped kitchen (no 4/5 quart boiling pot, colander, veg peeler, wooden/plastic cooking spatula, wine bottle opener, espresso maker, large frying pan or dish towels.) and there was no clothes dryer. The agent did manage to partly solve some issues but the 2nd bedroom mattress is a cheap foam mattress without any back support. We requested a bed board for the bed but he declined. (I eventually bought a board for 6 euros. ) The bath towels are good but the bed linens are 52/48 poly cotton (if you do not mind sweating in bed) and not 100% cotton for total comfort.

One day later we realized three other major problems. There is no hot water connection to the kitchen sink (which is surprising because not one of the other apartment reviews noticed). How do the cleaners clean the apartment without hot water ? We also noticed the water heater is only a 60 litre tank that requires 2.5 hours to heat the water. This means there's only enough hot water for 2 showers, may be three if no one has to wash their hair.

Secondly the apartment's electrical is rated for only 40 amps total. Consequently the apartment suffers from electrical outages in the evenings normal use of appliances but specifically when the a/c inverter heating is used (rated at 25 amps) to warm up the apartment and/or at the same time use the cooker or oven (each 13 amps) to make dinner, not to mention the fridge and lights, tv amperage draw.)

Third, we realized the agent or owner had placed plug-in (sickly) scented air-freshers in every room to mask something. By day four we realized the smoke we thought was seeping in from the adjacent apartment's smokers was in fact the smoke absorbed into all the window curtains and a/c duct work.

The rental agent or owner has not replied to our requests to remedy the hot water problem or the electrical outages and ignored our original request that we wanted a smoke free environment. So it is a worth while effort to write a review to advise anyone wishing to rent this apartment for more than 3 days because of its shortcomings. In short it is not suited for a long stay.
