We have used Agave Real Estate for all our rentals in San Miguel for many years. Jim Castro is always responsive to our requests for different size houses for monthly rentals. Ipanema and Lucia are both great people in the office to help us with everything. Many of our friends have rented houses through them too, with no complaints. We would certainly recommend Agave Real Estate to anyone who plans to rent in San Miguel.

We stayed a week at Casa San Jose in San Miguel de Allende, at over $2000 per night. We spent a significant portion of our time there without power and water, hence no a/c, no ceiling fans, no showers, no flushable toilets. The owner’s response was very unprofessional, basically not their problem. This host/owner manages multiple properties. I encourage everyone to steer clear of any properties managed by Agave rentals in San Miguel de Allende. Renter beware.

Feed the Hungry rented Casa San Jose through Agave Rentals for a week long fundraising event. All of the guests loved the house and were really impressed with the attentiveness of the staff .
The accommodations of each room were superior and our 11 guests were extremely happy there. Thanks to Jorge, the on site property manager, any and all requests were immediately addressed, We look forward to the next opportunity to stay at Casa San Jose

(I would have posted this earlier but I mistakenly posted it under the wrong company a few months back...) Unfortunately, Agave Real Estate, and in particular, Wes Gleason, dropped the only ball that mattered on our purchase in San Miguel (they were the listing agent). When we closed on our house on 8.26/22, the house was infested with roaches and scorpions (well beyond what the norm is here...) and the house also contained numerous personal items from the owner, including half-used bars of soap, CBD gummies, and several other dirty books, linens, and numerous other grimy items. It was disgusting. There is no way any house in any region should be handed over for closing as such! We conveyed this information on Friday, 8/26, and followed up by asking on Saturday, 8/27, if it could be cleaned and that all the personal items that should have been removed in the first place be removed at least by early afternoon of Monday, 8/28, when we were scheduled to meet with our contractor there to discuss renovations. Rather than actually handling the situation properly, and at least atoning for leaving the house in disgusting condition in the first place, Wes conveyed that he didn't know if he would be able to get things handled "on such short notice." Can you imagine? I wonder if it would have been so difficult to get handled if this was presented BEFORE THE SALE...? Ultimately, Wes sent one of his employees over late Monday (after we had already had to remove the gazillion bugs ourselves that appeared after we did an emergency fumigation which shouldn't have even been necessary) with a couple of baskets in hand, presumably to remove the items left there. The problem was, of course, that they needed several massive boxes to actually remove all the items left behind. Hard to believe that with 36 hours notice (after failing to leave the house in suitable condition in the first place) that Wes could not find a cleaning crew in all of San Miguel who wouldn't have been eager to make a few bucks first thing on a Monday! Wes did send over some pastries and breakfast sandwiches to my wife, who had to clean the mess herself Monday morning. I guess he thought his half-measured gesture would keep us quiet... All we wanted was a dignified and fair process but that was apparently too much for this team to deliver! I suggest you find someone else to handle your real estate because when things went awry with Wes and his team (their fault to begin with), they did nothing noteworthy to solve the problem they created in the first place!
